Barbecue Sauce is an American condiment with a very distinctive flavor. Its name comes from the fact that it pairs perfectly with meat, especially grilled meat. It’s also perfect when served with ribs, French Fries, Chicken Nuggets, and Onion Rings. For an even more delicious pairing with your Homemade Barbecue Sauce, you can try it with Meat and Cheese Stuffed Onion Rings!

I recommend trying your BBQ Sauce with your favorite foods – you’ll be amazed at how delicious and versatile it is! Now, let’s discover my recipe for making an easy and quick Barbecue Sauce!

Instructions

  1. To prepare the Barbecue Sauce, start by finely chopping the onion and garlic. Cook them in a pan over low heat with butter. Meanwhile, gradually pour in the vinegar and let it evaporate. Once the vinegar has evaporated, add the tomato sauce and tomato paste, stirring well to combine all ingredients. Add mustard, chili pepper, and sugar, then continue cooking for a total cooking time of 20 minutes.

  2. Turn off the heat and add salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce, mixing well. Strain the Barbecue Sauce through a fine-mesh strainer into a sauce bottle, then store it in the refrigerator.

Alternatives

To make a spicier BBQ Sauce, you can increase the amounts of Worcestershire Sauce and Tabasco. I recommend proceeding with caution and always tasting the sauce as you go to avoid making it too spicy.

Tips

My tip for an even tastier BBQ Sauce is very simple: try serving it slightly warm. It’s much better than cold (as it’s usually used) or at room temperature like in fast food restaurants. I assure you that the temperature of this sauce completely changes the final result!

Storage

You can store BBQ Sauce in the refrigerator for a couple of days. Obviously, unless you’re hosting a large dinner party, it’s practically impossible to finish the entire batch at once. In this case, I recommend storing it in a glass jar using the vacuum-sealing technique.
