  1. To prepare the Breaded Chicken Rolls with Ham and Cheese, start by placing the chicken breast slices on a cutting board. Season them with salt and a pinch of pepper, gently massaging the meat to enhance the flavor. Pound them with a meat mallet until they’re thin but not too much.
  2. Place a slice of cheddar cheese on each chicken slice, cover with a slice of cooked ham, then roll them up to form a roulade. Secure each roll with a toothpick.
  3. Take three medium-sized bowls: fill the first one with flour, beat the eggs in the second one, and put the breadcrumbs in the third one.
  4. Carefully coat each roll first in flour, then in beaten eggs, and finally in breadcrumbs.
  5. Dip the rolls once again in the beaten eggs and then in breadcrumbs for a second coating. Place them side by side and let them rest in the refrigerator for about 20 minutes.
  6. Heat plenty of vegetable oil (about one inch deep) in a deep-sided pan. Meanwhile, take the rolls out of the refrigerator and remove the toothpicks.
  7. When the oil is hot, place the rolls in the pan and cook them on both sides over high heat for a few minutes.
  8. Then lower the heat and continue cooking for another 10 minutes, making sure to turn the meat frequently for even cooking.
  9. Once ready, transfer the rolls to a plate lined with kitchen paper to remove excess oil. Season with a little salt and serve the Breaded Chicken Rolls with Ham and Cheese while they’re still hot! Finally, remember to download our App with exclusive content and fewer ads!
