Peel the garlic and chop it using a mezzaluna knife (a curved blade knife traditionally used in Italian cooking), then slice the tomatoes and add everything to the pot with the lentils.Add oregano to the pot and mix everything together so that the flavors and ingredients blend perfectly. Once the tomatoes are well broken down and the broth has achieved a uniform color, add salt to taste and remove the pot from the heat.Cover the pot with a lid and leave it on the stove for about ten minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
