Instructions

  1. To prepare Pan-Fried Chicken, start by cutting the chicken into pieces, then marinate it for about 30 minutes with olive oil, garlic, bay leaves, a pinch of salt and a sprinkle of black pepper.

  2. Next, heat a non-stick pan, add the chicken with its marinade and cook for about 10 minutes, frequently turning the pieces with kitchen tongs.

  3. When the chicken is well browned, remove the garlic and deglaze with white wine. Cover with a lid and cook over medium heat for about 20-25 minutes, turning the chicken occasionally.

  4. When the chicken is fully cooked, remove the lid, turn the heat to high and continue cooking until the cooking liquid has completely evaporated.

  5. Once the cooking liquid has evaporated, remove the bay leaves and serve your Pan-Fried Chicken piping hot!

Alternatives

To make your Pan-Fried Chicken even more flavorful, you can add extra herbs and spices such as parsley, rosemary, paprika, or curry powder. You can also choose to use only your preferred chicken parts, such as breast or thighs.

Tips

If you’re not confident in cutting up a whole chicken, you can buy pre-cut chicken pieces from your butcher or grocery store.

Storage

This Pan-Fried Chicken is best served immediately. However, if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one day.
