  1. To prepare Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti, start by cleaning the shrimp. Rinse them under cold running water, then remove the head, legs, and shell. Use a toothpick to remove the dark vein (digestive tract).
  2. Clean and finely chop the onion, then sauté it in a large non-stick pan with a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil until it starts to brown.
  3. Meanwhile, wash both the regular tomatoes and cherry tomatoes. Quarter the cherry tomatoes. For the regular tomatoes, peel them, remove the seeds, and dice them. Add the garlic clove, peeled tomatoes, and chili pepper to the pan, stirring to combine all ingredients.
  4. When the sauce starts to thicken, add the shrimp to the pan, season with salt, and cook for 10 minutes. After this time, add the cherry tomatoes and continue cooking.
  5. Meanwhile, cook the pasta in plenty of lightly salted boiling water. Drain the pasta when it’s still al dente (firm to the bite) and transfer it directly to the pan with the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and toss the pasta until all ingredients are well combined and fully cooked. Serve your Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti immediately while hot! Finally, remember to download our App with exclusive content and fewer ads!

Variations and Alternatives

You can prepare this Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti with any pasta shape of your choice. If you prefer a white version (without tomato sauce), simply omit the tomatoes and cherry tomatoes, and cook the shrimp in a bit more extra virgin olive oil instead.

Tips

To make Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti even more special, try sprinkling some grated Salted Ricotta (Ricotta Salata) on top before serving.

Storage

Spicy Shrimp Spaghetti is best enjoyed immediately after preparation. However, if you have leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one day.
